Torlon Chip Sockets

CCT specializes in the manufacturing of tight tolerance chip socket test fixtures.  Usually made from Torlon 5530 PAI, chip socket test fixtures are used for isolating chips during testing.  Torlon 5530 is a 30% glass-filled material that offers several challenges for most machine shops.  In addition to the abrasiveness caused by the glass, the material must also be dry-machined to prevent contamination.  Other grades of Torlon like Torlon 4203 and 4301 also offer specific challenges to machine shops.

With our multi-spindled CNC drills, equipped with spindles capable of 80,000 rpm, the small holes required for these test fixtures are not a problems.  With our vertical machining capabilities, the tight-tolerance z-axis work needed for chip sockets is easily accomplished.
