Our philosophy is to constantly expand our corporate knowledge and abilities. This philosophy keeps our personnel sharp and curious and allows us to constantly improve our procedures and capabilities. It also allows us to develop specialties in materials that other companies actively try to avoid.
Specialty Plastics Machining
Here are a few of the materials that we frequently work with that meet this criteria:
- Torlon and Polyamide materials
- FR-4/G-10/GPO materials
- Other glass-filled laminates
Plastic Machining Experts
CCT can supply parts while a die is being made, or we can manufacture parts that are impossible to waterjet or laser cut.
- Die Cutting
- Many parts are too thick or too hard for die cutting. We don’t have the tooling expenses associated with dies.
- Laser Cutting
- Many materials do not respond well to laser cutting. We can hold very tight tolerances and produce parts without burning.
- Waterjet Cutting
- Many materials de-laminate when cut with a waterjet. Our process can produce cleaner, more accurate parts than waterjet cutting.
- EDM-Wire Cutting
- We can process many materials that cannot be EDM Wire cut.
- Knife Cutting
- We can cut many materials that are too thick for knife cutting.
- Injection Molding
- We can produce prototype parts for testing prior to expensive molds being produced. We can also do secondary machining of molded parts.
- Stamping
- Our process can often produce better-looking parts, cheaper than stamping.
- Forming
- Machining offers advantages over forming for many parts.
- Milling and Machining
- Most metal machine shops won't cut plastics, especially glass-filled laminates. We exclusively deal with plastics and fiberglass is one of our specialties. Also, since we don't deal with metals, the chances of material contamination with parts for sensitive electronics applications is lessened.
